In the song cycle Here & Gone, composer Jake Heggie uses poetry of A.E. Housman and Vachel Linsday to craft a hypothetical conversation between the two poets. Sung by tenor Genaro Méndez and baritone Jared Hiscock, with Alejandro Avila at the piano and string trio made up of Jenna Ferdon, violin, Clark Potter, viola, and Elizabeth Grunin, cello.
